Best real ale pub

Real ale is one of our passions at The Bell.  We're one of the three pubs listed in the CAMRA 2010 Real Ale Guide for Whitchurch, Hampshire.  From the famous Gales HSB, Goddard's Special Bitter, Gales Seafarers Ale to Courage Best - plus the occasional guest ale - we make sure you'll get a fine pint.

Gales HSBGales HSB - First brewed in 1959, HSB (Horndean Special Bitter) is an award-winning, distinctive, high quality premium bitter. HSB was the flagship brew of Horndean's Gales brewery until December 2005 when the company was aquired by Fuller's.   Today, HSB is brewed with pride and passion at Chiswick where the Gale's yeast is now alive and well. It continues to delight discerning ale drinkers both in its original heartland and winning new friends far and wide.

Goddard's Special Bitter

Goddards Special - Refreshingly clean, easy-drinking bitter, with a wonderful aroma of freshly-rubbed hops that carries through to a satisfying aftertaste (CAMRA Good Beer Guide description). Loads of awards.

Gales Seafarers AleGale's Seafarers Ale - abv 3.6. Fullers donate £5.00 for every barrrel sold to the Seafarers UK charity.  Seafarers Ale has well developed fruity malt flavours and gentle bitterness sail through to a satisfying hoppy finish.
